Terry & Liz's Story...

"Andrew Venton of My Limousin provided us with a devis for the re-roofing our property in France last year, we paid him 5,300 Euros as a deposit. The work was due to commence in October 2008 but after months of excuses i.e. bad weather, problems with scaffolding we became increasingly concerned that there might be a problem!

We sent numerous emails, made numerous phone calls to My Limousin only to be met with more excuses as to when the work would actually commence. January 2009 arrived with no communication that any work had started, or even that our roof had been given some protection from the adverse weather conditions, as had been promised. We rang, emailed My Limousin only to be met with a wall of silence! No replies were forthcoming for a number of weeks and then we discovered via a third party that My Limousin was going into liquidation. Subsequently, we received an email from Andrew Venton disputing this claim and saying that he and his family were being intimidated and giving us reassurances that the work would be completed!!

We eventually discovered that My Limousin had gone into liquidation. We continued to make numerous phone calls and send emails with no communication from Mr. Venton. We then received a call from Mr. Venton's partner, on his behalf, assuring us that the work would be completed by Mr. Venton even though the company was in liquidation, she was very reassuring and we had no alternative but to believe what she said, even though we were dubious to say the least. She promised that we would have regular emails from Mr. Venton every Friday. We expressed our concern that we had not been able to contact Mr. Venton for many weeks even though we had left many, many messages expressing our concerns. We felt as if we had little alternative but to believe the word of these people even though we had been treated in such a despicable way.

The company has now been wound-up by the Mandataire Judiciare and we have been told that it is very unlikely we will get either our hard earned money back or any work carried out."        —21st May, 2009.

Venton & Foley repeatedly betrayed the trust of their clients by breaking commitments and undertakings made to them in respect of thousands of pounds paid to their company in good faith for work never even begun.
